We are essentially seeking the expertise of an experienced technical (IT) web copywriter with prior copywriting experience in writing for technology websites. Special preference would be given to copywriters with experience in Wireless Cellular Communication or Networking i.e. a copywriter who understands how wireless cellular technologies like GSM, CDMA, HSPA, 3G, GPRS, EDGE, VPNs, 3G Routers work. Someone that would that would require minimal technical supervision over the course of writing copy for this project.

Core Requirements

Fuzz One is an SEO or Search Engine Optimisation agency and we value the importance of quality web copy that sells brands, products and services. Below are our requirements for the role:

1. A seasoned web copywriter that is aware of basic SEO copywriting principles like keyword density, title tags, meta-description tags and writing copy for the web in readable chunks readers can skim through.
2. A copywriter that is very comfortable working with web designers and SEOs in a bid to delivering website content that is tightly integrated with the layout of individual web pages or templates
3. A copywriter that is able to write copy that is primarily intended to engage with prospective clients as well as content that would be picked up by search engines
4. The word count requirement for this project is between 40,000 to 80,000 words. More specific word count estimates would be provided in a content plan at the start of the project in May 2012
5. The successful candidate will have experience in technical copywriting. Ideally they should have experience in writing copy for technology websites / publications focusing on 3G routers and wireless technologies. However a relevant background in writing compelling keyword rich SEO copy in the technology sector would suffice.
6. Immaculately written grammar and spelling – the content would primarily target a B2B (Business to Business) Audience i.e. IT managers, Engineers and Business Owners looking at deploying Wireless Cellular technology solutions in their businesses in retail, energy, transport, security and banking.
7. The ability to understand key technical information and translate it into something more compelling for a better user experience on the website is of paramount importance.
8. For the right candidate this has the potential to becoming a long term on going arrangement for updating the blog and writing content for lunch of new products after the website goes live
9. Each candidate would be required to write a “test” piece in order for us to ascertain your level of proficiency.

The role will be project based. The remuneration will be negotiable depending on the candidate’s relevant experience.

In addition to writing web content, every piece of content written must also have the following SEO elements:

• Title Tag [70 – 100 characters]
• Meta Description [160 – 180 characters]
