Fortunately, Google+ is not a desert island as depicted in the picture above because you might find another lost soul but what is it that makes this social networking platform suffer in a period when all things social are booming. We’ve found a very interesting infographic blog post on StateOfSearch.com that says it all in 3 lines. It is all about social engagement and getting people to spend time on your website. As at May 2012, Facebook visitors spend an average of 450 minutes a month on Facebook, which leads to a total time on site 134, 398 years, while the average time spent on Google+ is 3.3 minutes. Google+ currently attracts a number of big brands that have the resources to manage their profiles as well as a number of techies (most of which are forced to use it to help their Google rankings). Everyone else feels just like the guy on the picture
shame.
Have a look at the infographic below and decide for yourself whether Google+ is a dead end.
